Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs made from vegetable-dyed wool, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with high oil content to effectively regulate body temperature. Gabbeh rugs, made from this wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven strand by strand by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel. Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability. Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer. And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original. They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but also hung on walls as art. Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can cherish forever?

Afterwards, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dye used on the wool may be present. This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
