Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant feel with a high fat content to help regulate body temperature.
The Gabbeh, woven by Iranian nomads, meticulously hand-knotting each strand of this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, indicating their exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature fluctuations between day and night, Gabbeh are also known for being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And, above all, there is their artistry. Gabbeh, created from the nomads' imagination, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can, of course, be placed on the floor, but are also artistic enough to be hung on a wall.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
If dirt is a concern: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool and silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dye used for the wool.
Please note that the smell will gradually dissipate with use.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping.

The pom-poms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery upon request.
Removing the pom-poms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
