This is a common Japanese entrance mat size. It brightens up your entryway, which you pass through every day. In addition to the entryway, it's also a convenient size for laying in empty spaces such as in front of a washbasin or veranda, or by the bedside. This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads. While it takes more effort to weave, it is a Luri-baft Gabbeh that is thinner and has a tighter weave than regular Gabbeh. "Luri" means "fine" and "baft" means "weave" in Persian.

Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads of Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing it to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is rich in lanolin, making it soft and pleasant to the touch, which helps with body temperature regulation. Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven strand by strand by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel. A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, indicating its superior durability. Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and airy in summer, creating a cool sensation. And above all, there is its artistic quality. Gabbeh rugs, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, one-of-a-kind original. They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art. How about finding your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile. For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and color variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present. The scent will gradually disappear with use, but we ask for your understanding in advance.
