Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are deeply rooted in their daily lives, made from plant-dyed sheep's wool with long piles. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbehs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a distinctive odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
