Gabbeh rugs are deeply rooted in daily life, hand-knotted by the Qashqai tribe who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool with a long pile. Daily Care

Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
