Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool with a long pile, deeply rooted in their daily lives. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product is known for its excellent durability, developed for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant feel due to its high lanolin content, which helps regulate body temperature.
These Gabbeh rugs, hand-dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their soft and fluffy texture.
A tightly woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, demonstrating its exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, providing a cool sensation.
And above all, there's its artistic quality. Gabbeh rugs, imagined and created by nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to the hand-woven nature, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dye variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven product.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dyes may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pom-poms can also be removed for shipping

The pom-poms located at the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pom-poms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
If you wish to have the pom-poms removed before shipment, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
