Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh Gabbeh are long-piled rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively. Gabbeh, hand-woven piece by piece by Iranian nomads using this wool dyed with natural dyes, is characterized by its fluffy and pleasant texture. A tightly woven Gabbeh is said to last 100 years, boasting excellent durability. Gabbeh, born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, is warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing it from feeling hot. And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh created by the imagination of nomads often features designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, one-of-a-kind original. They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but are also artistic enough to be displayed on a wall. Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can cherish for a long time? Daily Care Use a vacuum cleaner or broom to remove dirt and dust along the nap. For stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then wipe thoroughly with water to remove detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Important Notes Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving. Additionally, Gabbeh is woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present. The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand. Pom-poms can be removed before shipping

The pom-poms on the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery. Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh. If you wish to have the pom-poms removed before shipping, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
