Gabbeh are long-pile rugs, woven by hand by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool and deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture, rich in natural oils, allows for effective temperature regulation.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Afterwards, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a handmade product.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dye used on the wool may occur.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
