Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai people, who are nomadic in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are hand-woven using wool dyed with natural plant dyes. The Persian Variant wool used in this product is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a lot of oil that helps the sheep regulate their body temperature and providing excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile direction. For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel. Then carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape, pattern, weaving, and dyeing. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may occur. This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.

Pom-poms can be removed before shipping

The pom-poms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery. Removing the pom-poms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
