Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made from vegetable-dyed wool by the Qashqai tribe, who are nomadic in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. The Persian variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for living in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, as well as a soft and pleasant texture due to its high oil content, which helps regulate body temperature.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a distinct odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
