Characteristics of the Origin (Qom)
Qom is a region famous for silk rugs, to the point where "Qom" often comes to mind when one thinks of "silk rugs." It produces the finest rugs among all Iranian rugs. Qom is located in northern Iran. It uses silk and very high-quality soft wool. The designs are very rich. Various colors are used skillfully, with pastel colors, soft colors, and ivory being particularly common. Most of these rugs are works of art, bearing the signature of the workshop.
What is a Persian rug?
Persian rugs are rugs woven in Iran. They have a long history and are famous for their beauty and durability, lasting for generations. They are one of the most outstanding artistic handicrafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug designs and materials used depending on the region of origin, Iran has a wide variety of rugs. There is everything from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By incorporating a Persian rug with its unique, one-of-a-kind charm into your room, you can further enhance its ambiance.
Daily Care (Silk)
Vacuum the surface along the pile to remove dust. If you spill drinks, first absorb the liquid with something highly absorbent (such as paper towels or tissues). Then, place a dry towel under the rug and gently tap it with a tightly wrung towel moistened with water and a neutral detergent. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with something absorbent and hang it in a well-ventilated area to dry.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape, weaving, and dyeing. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
