This is a hand-woven wool and silk Persian rug made in Iran (Persia).
It's a classic hand-woven Persian rug, perfect for placing in your living room or in front of the sofa. It's not too big, not too small, and at approximately 1.5 tatami mats in size, it's easy to match with your room's interior and can even be placed under a dining table.
Tranj (Medallion) Pattern
The most distinctive feature of the popular and traditional Tranj pattern is the circular or oval design placed in the center of the rug. Symmetrical patterns and decorations spread out around it, creating a beautiful design. Rugs with the Tranj pattern suit any room, and are particularly recommended for placement in front of a living room sofa or as a centerpiece in a room.
Gol Pattern (Floral Pattern)
The Gol pattern is a common design found in Persian rugs. It is used in various production areas such as Kerman, Isfahan, Kashan, Nain, and Qom. Various types of flowers are depicted, with roses and the traditional Persian Shah Abbasi flowers being common. In the Sarasaru pattern, the size of the flowers stands out, and sometimes small flowers are arranged around the Tranj pattern. It harmonizes with any room.
Enjoy a comfortable lifestyle with a unique, one-of-a-kind hand-woven Persian rug.

Characteristics of the Production Area (Tabriz)
Tabriz is a city in northwestern Iran and a very famous and popular production area for carpets. It boasts a rich variety of designs and colors, and was also the capital of Iran during the Safavid dynasty. The oldest Tabriz carpets date back to 1500, and exports began around 1900. Tabriz has many highly talented carpet weavers, and silk and cotton are often used as foundation materials for carpets. Wool and silk are mainly used for the pile, and the weaving is characterized by its extreme fineness. The designs are also diverse, including beautiful medallion patterns, traditional Persian Mahi designs, Gonbadi patterns inspired by mosque ceilings, popular floral patterns, and even pictorial designs. The color palette is also rich, with pastel shades often seen in carpets made from wool and silk. As such, Tabriz carpets are highly recommended for their rich variety of designs and colors.
What is a Persian Rug?
A Persian rug is a rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is famous for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most outstanding artistic handicrafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug design and materials used across various production areas, Iran offers a wide variety of rugs. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian nomadic peoples. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By incorporating a Persian rug with its unique, one-of-a-kind charm into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.
Daily Care (Wool & Silk)
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile. If you notice dirt: dilute a neutral detergent (for wool and silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry it in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, inconsistencies in weaving, and uneven dyeing. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
