This is a hand-woven wool and silk Persian rug, made in Iran (Persia).
It's a classic hand-woven Persian rug, perfect for placing in a living room or in front of a sofa. It's not too big and not too small, making it easy to match with your room's interior. At approximately 1.5 tatami mats in size, it's also suitable for placing under a dining table.
Toranj (Medallion) Pattern
The most distinctive feature of the popular and traditional Toranj pattern is a circular or oval design placed in the center of the rug. Symmetrical patterns and decorations spread out around it, creating a beautiful design. Toranj pattern rugs suit any room, and are particularly recommended for placement in front of a living room sofa or as a centerpiece in a room.
Enjoy a comfortable lifestyle with a unique, one-of-a-kind hand-woven Persian rug.

Characteristics of the Origin (Tabriz)
Tabriz is a city in northwestern Iran and a very famous and popular center for rug production. It boasts a rich variety of designs and colors, and was even the capital of Iran during the Safavid dynasty. The oldest Tabriz rugs date back to 1500, and exports overseas began around 1900. Tabriz is home to many highly talented rug weavers, and silk and cotton are often used as base materials for the rugs. The pile primarily uses wool and silk, and its weave is notably fine. Designs are diverse, including beautiful medallion patterns, traditional Persian Mahi designs, Gonbadi patterns inspired by mosque ceilings, popular floral patterns, and even pictorial designs. The color palette is also rich, with pastel colors often seen in rugs using wool and silk. As such, Tabriz rugs are highly recommended for their abundant design and color variations.
What are Persian Rugs?
Persian rugs are carpets woven in Iran. They have a long history and are renowned for their beauty and durability, lasting for generations. They are an outstanding example of fine art and craft, representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug designs and materials used depending on the region of origin, Iran offers a wide variety of rugs. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By incorporating a one-of-a-kind Persian rug with its unique appeal into your room, you can enhance its atmosphere even further.
Daily Care (Wool & Silk)
Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the pile. If stains are a concern: dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Afterwards, carefully wipe with water to remove detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight irregularities in shape, weaving, and dyeing. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
