This is a hand-woven wool and silk Persian rug made in Iran (Persia).
It's a large rug, suitable for spacious living rooms, with an area of approximately 3.5 tatami mats, good for pairing with a large sofa (e.g., a three-seater).
Tranj (Medallion) Pattern
The main characteristic of the popular and traditional tranj pattern is a circular or oval design placed in the center of the rug. Symmetrical patterns and decorations spread out around it, creating a beautiful design. Tranj pattern rugs suit any room, and are especially recommended for placement in front of a sofa in the living room or as a room's centerpiece.
Mahi Pattern
This is one of the most popular designs, so much so that when people think of Persian rugs, this pattern comes to mind. It is said to have originated in Khorasan and is frequently seen in famous rug-producing regions such as Tabriz and Bijar. "Mahi" means fish in Persian, and the design is called the Mahi pattern because the patterns extending from the center resemble fish fins. Furthermore, within the Mahi pattern, flowers and plants are intricately depicted like fish scales. Also known as the Herati pattern, this design is easy to match with any room and is extremely popular.
Enjoy a comfortable life with a hand-woven, one-of-a-kind Persian rug, a design found nowhere else in the world.

Characteristics of the Region (Mood)
Mood is a city in eastern Iran, and its classical design rugs are extremely popular. These rugs have fine knots and are very durable and sturdy, allowing for long-term use. They are also affordably priced. Two popular designs frequently seen in Mood are the intricate traditional Mahi pattern and the panel pattern with garden motifs. The rugs are primarily made of wool, with silk sometimes used. Dark red, brown, and earthy colors are often used, making these rugs very warm.
What are Persian Rugs?
Persian rugs are carpets woven in Iran. They have a long history and are famous for their beauty and durability, lasting for generations. They are one of the most outstanding artistic crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug designs and materials used by region, Iran has a wide variety of rugs. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By introducing a Persian rug with its unique, one-of-a-kind charm into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.
Daily Care (Wool & Silk)
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile. If you are concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool and silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Afterwards, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
As these are hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, inconsistencies in weaving, or variations in dye. Please enjoy these as part of the handmade charm.
