If you spill drinks, immediately absorb the liquid with an absorbent material (such as kitchen paper or tissue), and then wipe with a damp cloth.
If you are concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
