Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs made from plant-dyed wool, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadic in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture due to its high oil content, which helps with temperature regulation.
Gabbeh rugs are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel, as they are hand-woven by Iranian nomads, one thread at a time, using wool dyed with natural dyes.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Gabbeh rugs, created in a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and breathable in summer, so they don't feel hot.
And above all, there is their artistry. Gabbeh rugs created by the nomads' imagination often feature animal and plant designs, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a piece you can use for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye unevenness. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may occur.
The scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.

Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
