Characteristics of the Region (Qom)
Qom is a region so famous for silk rugs that it's often the first name that comes to mind when mentioning them. It produces the finest rugs in Iran. Located in northern Iran, Qom uses silk and very high-quality soft wool. The designs are incredibly rich, and various colors are expertly used, with pastel colors, soft colors, and ivory being particularly common. Most of these artistic-level rugs include the workshop's signature.
What is a Persian Rug?
A Persian rug is a rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is renowned for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most exquisite artistic crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Iran boasts a wide variety of rugs, as their designs and materials differ by region of origin. From delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian nomadic tribes, the range is vast. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color palettes of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By incorporating a one-of-a-kind Persian rug with its unique appeal into your room, you can further enhance its ambiance.
Daily Care (Silk)
Vacuum dust from the surface along the nap. If you spill a drink, first absorb the moisture with an absorbent material (such as paper towels or tissues). Then, place a dry towel on the underside of the rug and dab it with a firmly wrung towel dampened with water and a neutral detergent. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with an absorbent material and dry it in a well-ventilated area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or dye variations. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
