Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing it to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture rich in oils for effective body temperature regulation.
Gabbeh are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel, woven meticulously by hand, one strand at a time, by Iranian nomads, using wool dyed with natural dyes.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, demonstrating their exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature animal and plant designs, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but are also artistic enough to be displayed on walls.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a well-wrung towel. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Points to Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye variations. Please be aware that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but we ask for your understanding in advance.
