Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs woven by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool as a fundamental part of their daily life. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with ample oil content to regulate body temperature effectively.
These Gabbeh, hand-woven meticulously by Iranian nomads using wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting superior durability.
Gabbeh, born from a climate with extreme daily temperature differences, are also characterized by their warmth in winter and their breathability, providing a cool sensation in summer.
And above all, there is their artistry. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature animal and plant designs, and each one is a unique, original piece with no two alike.
They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but are also artistic enough to be displayed on a wall.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated shade.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the wool dyes may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
