Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, nomadic people who live in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are deeply rooted in their daily lives, made from plant-dyed wool with long piles. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product comes from sheep that thrive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, possessing excellent durability and containing high levels of oil for temperature regulation, resulting in a soft and comfortable texture.
Gabbeh rugs, dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven knot by knot by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh rugs, imagined and created by nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, one-of-a-kind item.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a piece you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
As these are hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, or dye variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
The scent will gradually disappear with use, but we ask for your understanding in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.

The pompoms at the corners or in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
If you would like the pompoms removed before shipping, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
