Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs rooted in nomadic life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who roam the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high fat content to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh, made by dyeing this wool with natural dyes and meticulously hand-weaving each thread by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may occur.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.
The pompoms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery if requested.
Removing the pompoms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
