This is a Persian hand-woven Gabbeh rug, custom-made in a special size to suit Japanese lifestyles.
It's the perfect size for an entrance mat, brightening up your entryway that you pass through every day.
Besides the entrance, it's also a convenient size for other empty spaces such as in front of a washbasin, on a balcony, or beside a bed.
It features a soft, plush, and pleasant texture that can be enjoyed all year round.
As a hand-woven, one-of-a-kind item, please enjoy its unique design.
This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads; while it requires more effort to weave, it results in a Luri Baft Gabbeh with less thickness and a tighter weave than standard Gabbeh.
"Luri" means "fine" and "Baft" means "weave" in Persian.

Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool deeply rooted in their daily lives. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft texture, rich in natural oils, allows for effective body temperature regulation. These Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven by Iranian nomads with wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel. Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years. Born from a climate with extreme daily temperature differences, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and breathable in summer, preventing feelings of heat. And, above all, there's their artistry. Gabbeh rugs, imaginatively created by nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece. They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art. Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?
Daily Care
Vacuum or sweep along the pile to remove dirt and dust. If stains are a concern: dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-woven items. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dyes may be present. This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
