Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadic through the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shade.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may occur.
The scent will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
