Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its high fat content, which helps regulate body temperature, gives it a soft and pleasant texture.
Gabbeh, made by nomads in Iran who hand-weave each strand of this natural-dyed wool, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Then, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
Please be aware that the smell will gradually dissipate with use.
Pom-poms can be removed upon request

If you request, we can deliver the Gabbeh with the pom-poms (located at the corners and in the middle) removed.
Removing the pom-poms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
