Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven carpets made from vegetable-dyed wool by the Qashqai nomadic tribe in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, deeply rooted in their daily life. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and is rich in natural oils, making it soft and pleasant to the touch, skillfully regulating body temperature. Gabbehs, hand-woven by Iranian nomads one by one with this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and comfortable texture. Well-woven Gabbehs are so durable they are said to last 100 years. Gabbehs, created from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing them from feeling hot. And above all, there is its artistic quality. Gabbehs created from the nomads' imagination often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece. They can be placed on the floor or even hung on a wall as art. How about finding your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile direction. For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dye variations. Please understand these as part of the charm of hand-weaving. Additionally, Gabbehs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present. This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping

The pompoms located at the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment. Removing the pompoms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh. If you wish to have the pompoms removed before shipping, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
