These rugs are deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh Zagros Mountains, and contains abundant natural oils, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture that helps regulate body temperature. Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven by Iranian nomads strand by strand after dyeing the wool with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel. Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years. Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are also characterized by being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing feelings of heat. Daily Care Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung-out towel or similar. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
