Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh Rugs
Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool to create long-pile rugs deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and has a soft, pleasant feel with a high oil content that effectively regulates body temperature.
These Gabbeh rugs, hand-dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and pleasant texture.
Gabbeh rugs, woven tightly, are renowned for their outstanding durability, said to last for 100 years.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are also warm in winter and breathable in summer, offering a cool sensation.
And above all, their artistry is remarkable. Gabbeh rugs, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature animal and plant designs, making each one a unique, original piece.
They can, of course, be placed on the floor, but are also beautiful enough to be hung on walls as art.
Why not find a Gabbeh rug that you can cherish forever, a special one just for you?
Daily Care
Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique scent from the wool dye.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.

The pompoms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
If you would like to have the pompoms removed before shipping, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
