This is a common Japanese entrance mat size. It will brighten up your entryway, which you pass through every day. In addition to the entryway, this size is also easy to place in empty spaces such as in front of a washbasin or balcony, or next to a bed. This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and because it takes more effort to weave, it is a Luri-baft Gabbeh that is thinner and has a tighter weave than regular Gabbehs. "Luri" means "fine" and "baft" means "weave" in Persian.

Features of Persian hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically herd in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The wool used in this product, called Persian variant, possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture, rich in oils, allows for effective temperature regulation. Gabbeh rugs are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel, as they are hand-woven, thread by thread, by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool. A well-woven Gabbeh is highly durable, said to last for 100 years. Gabbeh rugs, born from a climate with extreme daily temperature fluctuations, also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing a feeling of heat. And, above all, their artistry. Gabbeh rugs, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature animal and plant designs, making each one a unique, one-of-a-kind original. They can be used not only on the floor but also displayed on walls as art. How about finding your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?
Daily care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. For stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, dyeing irregularities, etc. Please be aware that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present. The odor will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Tassels can also be removed before shipping.
The tassels attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping. Removing the tassels will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh. If you wish to have the tassels removed before shipping, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
