Characteristics of the Origin (Ardebil)

Ardebil, a historical city located in northwestern Iran, has traditionally been renowned for its silk and carpet trade, and its ancient Ardebil carpets are considered to be among the highest quality Persian carpets. Ardebil kilims are also finely woven, strong, and highly durable. Kilims made with silk are also produced here. Ardebil kilims feature a variety of designs, from those depicting animals such as birds, horses, and deer to those with distinctive geometric patterns. The color schemes often consist of gentle beige or gold bases with vibrant reds and oranges used for frames and patterns. Due to these characteristics, Ardebil kilims are highly valued as precious rugs that combine beauty and durability.

What is a Kilim?

Persian hand-woven kilims are globally popular traditional hand-woven textiles that become more appealing with age. Depending on when they were woven, they are called vintage kilims, old kilims, or antique kilims, and are loved by people of all ages. Most kilims are made of wool, but some kilims using cotton or silk are also produced. Natural materials are used. Since natural dyes are used for coloring, you can use them with peace of mind. These hand-woven kilims are sturdily woven and are based on the design styles of tribes and ethnic groups, known as tribal rugs. They are characterized by geometric patterns inspired by nature and animals, and each kilim has a unique design.
Various ethnic groups inhabit the vast land of Iran. The design and color characteristics differ by region of origin, allowing you to enjoy a diverse range of design patterns.

Other Uses for Kilims

Kilims are not simply used as rugs or floor coverings; they are also widely used as decorative items for walls, sofas, tables, beds, and other interior spaces. Their unique designs and colors are distinctive, and they are often utilized as accents in a room. Kilims are not merely decorative objects; they are important elements that enrich the overall atmosphere of a room and highlight its individuality. They add a unique charm and warmth to a room's space. By utilizing kilims, you can create a life surrounded by art and comfort, and enjoy a lifestyle surrounded by things you love.

Kilims and Interior Design

Kilims offer great flexibility in how they can be incorporated into various interior styles. In modern interiors, introducing the unique patterns and colors of a kilim into a simple space adds an accent. For natural or Scandinavian interiors, pairing kilims with wooden furniture, plants, or other natural materials enhances their warmth and natural ambiance. They also pair well with a bohemian aesthetic; placing them on the floor or hanging them on the wall elevates the overall feel of the room. Kilims have an ethnic design and tribal feel, making them a good match for interiors that incorporate cultural elements from Iran, Turkey, Morocco, and other regions. By using them as tapestries or cushions, you can add warmth and depth to the entire room.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom. If it looks dirty, dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.

Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape, weaving, and dyeing. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.

The first one was a doormat, which I bought online. It was a really good product, so this time I came to the store looking for a Gabbeh large enough to place in front of my sofa. I received very polite service and found a favorite piece, which I immediately decided on. It really suits the atmosphere of my home, and I'm glad I bought it. Thank you very much.

I bought a Persian rug from an online shop for the first time.
I was a bit anxious about buying a Persian rug online because its appearance can change so much depending on the light, but the polite and thorough answers I received when I called to ask questions put me at ease and I went ahead with the purchase.
Although the actual rug was a little darker than expected, I'm delighted to have found such a wonderful item that met my expectations.
They also handled my request for a tapestry finish quickly and with great care, making for a very pleasant shopping experience.
The finish was also meticulously done and beautiful.
I would definitely like to use their services again.

This was my first purchase. I had been looking for a Gabbeh for my living room and had seen many in person, but I couldn't find anything that really spoke to me. Then I found one on your website and it was love at first sight, so I bought it immediately. I was a little worried about buying something based solely on an image, but the actual product was just as wonderful as I imagined. The packaging was also very careful, and it even came with a letter! Thank you so much for the beautiful Persian tapestry as well. I've hung it in my entryway. I look forward to shopping with you again if the opportunity arises.
