Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-knotted rugs made by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing it to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a high amount of oil for excellent temperature regulation, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. If you notice stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being hand-knotted, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving unevenness, and dye unevenness. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-knotted item. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the wool dye may occur. This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
