Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh Gabbeh are long-piled, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who are nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for living in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant-to-the-touch texture contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively. Gabbeh, hand-woven piece by piece by Iranian nomads using this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable feel. Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting excellent durability. Daily Care Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface.
