Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a well-wrung towel. Then, wipe thoroughly with a wet cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Points to Note

Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Pom-poms can be removed before shipping.

The pom-poms on the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pom-poms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
