This is a hand-woven Persian silk rug made in Iran (Persia).
It's a large doormat-sized Persian hand-woven rug suitable for the entrance of a house or other relatively spacious areas. This Persian hand-woven rug is also suitable for empty spaces not just at the entrance, but also next to a bed or in front of a single sofa.
Toranj (Medallion) Pattern
The most distinctive feature of the popular and traditional Toranj pattern is a circular or oval design placed in the center of the rug. Symmetrical patterns and ornaments spread around it, creating a beautiful design. Toranj pattern rugs suit any room, and are especially recommended for placement in front of a living room sofa or in the center of a room.
Gol Pattern (Floral Pattern)
The Gol pattern is a common design found in Persian rugs. It is used in various production areas such as Kerman, Isfahan, Kashan, Nain, and Qom. Various types of flowers are depicted, with roses and the traditional Persian Shah Abbasi flowers being common. In the Sarasar pattern, the size of the flowers stands out, and sometimes small flowers are arranged around a Toranj pattern. It harmonizes with any room.
Gombadi Pattern (Dome Pattern)
Gombad means "dome" in Persian and represents the beautiful ornamental patterns seen when looking up at a mosque dome from directly below.

Characteristics of the Production Area (Qom)
Qom is a famous production area for silk rugs, to the extent that when people mention silk rugs, Qom immediately comes to mind. It produces the finest rugs in Iran. Qom is located in the northern part of Iran. It uses silk and very high-quality soft wool. The designs are also very diverse. Various colors are used very skillfully, with pastel colors, soft colors, and ivory being particularly common. Most of these artistic rugs have the workshop's signature.
What is a Persian Rug?
A Persian rug is a rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is famous for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most outstanding art crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Since the rug designs and materials used vary depending on the production area, there is a wide variety of rugs in Iran. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple and geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs have a unique charm. By incorporating a Persian rug, with its unique and singular charm, into your room, you can enhance the atmosphere even further.
Daily Care (Silk)
Vacuum dust from the surface along the pile. If you spill liquids, first absorb the moisture with an absorbent material (such as paper towels or tissues). Then, place a dry towel on the back of the rug, and using water and a neutral detergent, pat the stain with a tightly wrung towel. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with an absorbent material and hang it in a well-ventilated area to dry.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or dye variations. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
