Characteristics of the Origin (Naeen)
Naeen is a city located in central Iran, near Isfahan. Naeen rugs are very popular and similar in design to Isfahan rugs. Cotton is used for the foundation, and wool and silk are often used for the pile. The designs frequently feature a medallion with Shah Abbasi floral patterns. Ivory and beige are commonly used for the field color, with accents of red, green, blue, and pink often added. The Habibian workshop is particularly famous, and its rugs are known for their high quality.
What are Persian Rugs?
Persian rugs are rugs woven in Iran. They have a long history and are renowned for their beauty and durability, lasting for generations. They are one of the most outstanding art crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug designs and materials used depending on the region of origin, Iran offers a wide variety of rugs. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By incorporating a Persian rug with its own unique charm into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.
Daily Care (Wool & Silk)
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. If stains are a concern: dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
As these are hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or dye variations. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
