Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who are nomadic people in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for living in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, as well as soft, pleasant-to-the-touch fibers with high oil content to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh woven by the nomadic people of Iran, using this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile direction.
If dirt is a concern: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape, pattern, weaving, and dyeing. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dye used to color the wool.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.
If requested, we can deliver your Gabbeh with the pompoms on the corners or in the middle removed.
Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
