Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadize in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, as well as a soft and pleasant texture containing ample lanolin for effective body temperature regulation.
Gabbeh rugs, hand-dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are highly durable, said to last up to 100 years.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the unique characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape or pattern, uneven weaving, or variations in dyeing. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven product.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the wool dye may occur.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can be removed for shipping
The pompoms located at the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
