Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomadic tribe of Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, as well as a soft, pleasant texture rich in natural oils to regulate body temperature.
These Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven one by one by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature fluctuations between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.
And above all, their artistry is remarkable. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on walls as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shady area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and color variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a distinctive odor from the dye used to color the wool.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Removing the pom-poms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
