The Persian variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its high oil content makes it soft and pleasant to the touch, effectively regulating body temperature.
Gabbeh, made from such wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven, thread by thread, by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the unique property of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing overheating.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
