This particular Gabbeh is woven with fine threads. Although it takes more effort to weave, it results in a more compact weave and less thickness than a regular Gabbeh, making it a "Līzbāft" Gabbeh.
"Līz" means "fine" in Persian, and "bāft" means "weave".

Features of Persian hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are hand-woven rugs with long piles made by the Qashqai tribe, who are nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture with a lot of oil for good body temperature regulation.
The Gabbeh, hand-woven by Iranian nomads, one by one, using this wool dyed with natural dyes, is characterized by its fluffy and pleasant texture.
A tightly woven Gabbeh is said to last 100 years, making it exceptionally durable.
Gabbeh, created in a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, also has the characteristic of being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, so it does not feel hot.
And above all, its artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, and each one is a unique, original piece.
They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but they can also be hung on walls as art.

Daily care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present.
The odor will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can also be removed before shipping.

The pom-poms located at the corners or in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pom-poms does not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
