Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai nomads who hand-weave them in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Varied wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterwards, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the dyes used on the wool may be present.
The scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
