This is a classic hand-woven Persian Gabbeh rug, perfect for placing in your living room or in front of your sofa. It's not too big, not too small, making it easy to match with your room's interior. Approximately 1.5 tatami mats in size, it's also easy to lay under a dining table. It's soft, plush, and has a pleasant feel that can be used all year round. Enjoy a unique, one-of-a-kind hand-woven design. This particular Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and while it takes more effort to weave, it is a Luri-baft Gabbeh, which is thinner and more densely woven than standard Gabbeh rugs. "Luri" means "fine" and "baft" means "weave" in Persian.

Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made from vegetable-dyed wool by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh Zagros Mountains, and its soft texture contains a lot of oil to effectively regulate body temperature. Gabbeh rugs, woven meticulously by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel. Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years. Created in a climate with drastic temperature changes between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing heat. And above all, there's their artistry. Gabbeh rugs, imagined and created by nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece. They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but are also artistic enough to be hung on a wall. Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can cherish for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. For stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item. Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present. This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping.
The pom-poms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery. Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh. If you would like the pom-poms removed before shipment, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
