Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically inhabit the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are hand-woven using vegetable-dyed wool. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove any detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.

Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dyes may occur.
The scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Tassels can be removed upon shipment

If requested, the tassels attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery.
Removing the tassels does not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
