Gabbeh are long-piled rugs, deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically inhabit the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variat wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high oil content for effective body temperature regulation. Gabbeh rugs, made by Iranian nomads who meticulously hand-weave each strand of this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel. A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, showcasing its exceptional durability. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile. For気になる汚れ: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-woven products. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Consequently, a distinct odor from the dyes used on the wool may be present. This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Pompoms can also be removed for shipping

The pompoms located on the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery. Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
