This is a Persian hand-woven Gabbeh rug, sized perfectly for entryways in slightly larger homes, such as detached houses.
It will brighten up your entryway, which you pass through every day.
In addition to entryways, its size also makes it easy to place in vacant spaces, such as by the bedside or in front of a single sofa.
It is soft, plush, and has a pleasant texture that can be used all year round.
Enjoy this one-of-a-kind hand-woven piece with a design unique in the world.
This particular Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and because of the extra effort required to weave it, it is a Luri-baf Gabbeh, which is thinner and has a tighter weave than regular Gabbeh.
Luri means "fine" and baf means "weave" in Persian.

Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool with a long pile that is deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh rugs, made from this wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Gabbeh rugs, born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and not feeling hot in summer.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh rugs created from the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, and each one is a unique, original piece with no two alike.
They can be laid on the floor or even displayed on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may occur.
The smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
