This classic hand-woven Persian Gabbeh rug is perfect for placing in your living room or in front of your sofa. It's not too big and not too small, making it easy to match with your room's interior. At approximately 1.5 tatami mats in size, it's also easy to lay under a dining table. It's soft, plush, and has a pleasant feel that can be used all year round. Enjoy this one-of-a-kind hand-woven design that is unique in the world. This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and while it takes more effort to weave, it is a "Liezbaft" Gabbeh, which has a thinner pile and tighter weave than regular Gabbeh. "Liez" means "fine" and "baft" means "weave" in Persian.

Features of Hand-Woven Persian Gabbeh Rugs
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven carpets made by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a high amount of lanolin for excellent durability and thermoregulation, essential for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains. These Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven thread by thread by Iranian nomads and dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel. Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years. Gabbeh rugs, born from a climate with drastic temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and breathable in summer, offering a cool sensation. And of course, there's their artistic quality. Gabbeh rugs, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature animal and plant designs, making each one a unique, original piece. They can be laid on the floor or even hung on the wall as art. Why not find your own special Gabbeh rug that you can cherish forever?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile. For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to the hand-woven nature, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present. The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.

The pompoms on the corners and sides of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment. Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh. If you wish to have the pompoms removed before shipment, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
