Vacuum the dust from the surface along the pile. If you spill a drink, first absorb the moisture with an absorbent material (such as paper towels or tissues). Then, place a dry towel under the rug and use water and neutral detergent to dab and wipe with a firmly wrung-out towel. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with an absorbent material and air dry in a well-ventilated area.
